Currently, the majority of people rent movies on a regular basis. Normally we will wait for the DVD rentals to hit the stores, instead of going to the theater. Here is a short list of some of most heavily rented DVD’s in Oct. 2008.
An additional means of accessing movies is through movie downloads. You can go to websites on the internet that will provide virtually every movie made downloaded. This is very useful if you’re trying to make a large movie collection.
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones adventure continues, after a 19 year hiatus. This is the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones series. In this episode Indiana it’s the cold war, and the Russians are the enemy. This time, it’s off top the amazone to search for some South American relics, which are thought to have secret powers.
THE LAZARUS PROJECT: One time crook Ben Garvey seems to have gotten his act together. With a beauitiful wife and daughter, and steady paycheck, things are pretty darn good. Then, he loses his job, and reverts to his old life of crime. The heist is a complete failure, and he is convicted, and sentenced to die. He fully expects to be killed by lethal injection. Shockingly, he regains consciousness only to find himself in a psychiatric ward. Now its all on the line, his sanity, and his soul.
LINEWATCH: Well likes Michael Dixon is a boarder man in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. But Michael’s past is about to rear it’s ugly head. He was part of a brutal L.A. gang, which he eventually left. When an unfortunate meeting gives away his location to a member of his old gang, he and his family are put in a dangerous situation. He is forced risk it all, and work with the gang to move a large drug shipment from Mexico into the U.S.
THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film tells us the tale of Military scientist Dr. Bruce Banner, who has been changed into a creature called the green Hulk. This box office hit is an epic tale of the marvel universe comic super hero the green Hulk. Key actors include Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, Tim Roth. This film is directed by Louis Leterrier. This movie would be classified as a science fiction film.
DECEPTION: Audiitor for the elite, Jonathan McQuarry has a surprising meeting with charismatic corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. It is a meeting that will change his life. He is introduced to “The List”, which offers access to a sexual pleasures. Sadly, he also finds himself in a world of corruption, treason and murder.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his brother, science professor Trevor Anderson goes on a mission that sends him into the depths of our planet. This is a remake of the original 1959 movie, which was based on the classic work by Jules Verne. Cast includes Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers.
THE HAPPENING: Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberb), with his wife and many other frightened people are all fleeing Philadelphia on a train. The city has been thrown into chaos. Many people are being overcome by some strange illness, and are dying at their own hands. Can mankind find an answer, or is this the end of the human race?
IRON MAN: Playboy, engineer genius, Tony Stark is captured by insurgent fighters in Afghanastan. They command him to build weapons for the insurgent group. He was injured when his convoy was attacked, and he has shrapnel lodged in his chest. To survive his injuries, and break away from his enemies, he develops a suit of armor, which protects and strengthens him. Iron Man is born.
SPEED RACER: The 1990’s television cartoon gets real actors. Just like The Flinstones, Speed Racer turns a cartoon into a movie with real actors. Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a major rally car race that had cost his brother his life. Against all odds, and the future of the family business at risk, Speed Racer partners up with his former adversary Racer X, in an effort to capture the championship, and save the family business.
