Against all odds, and the future of the family business at risk, Speed Racer partners up with his former adversary Racer X, in an effort to capture the championship, and save the family business.

Aerobics (long, steady state sub-maximal cardio) aren’t great for a lot of health or fat loss related benefits. I’ve already done a post on why aerobic’s ineffective for fat loss. Also I went into the health benefits of interval training contrary to steady-state aerobics in my interval training for fat loss article.

But I have to admit aerobic exercise has its place. It can be a useful tool in eliminating stubborn body fat in the areas guys get it most (the abs) and women (butt, hips and thighs) But only if you do it on one of these two occasions (and I’ll explain why too!):

Time No. 1 You Have To Do Aerobics: After Interval Workout

To start with, let’s look at what intervals and aerobics do in your body

Steady state target heart rate cardio (aerobics). Uses fat for energy, but the problem is it takes a long time to exercise for the body to start using fat as fuel for this type of cardio.

Extreme intensity interval training. Burns glycogen and sends out fatty acids into the blood stream, but it doesn’t use those fatty acids for energy, which means they get redeposited into the fat cells.

Here’s how you obtain the both of best worlds:

1. Perform your 12 minutes or less of interval training

2. Hang about 5 minutes

3. Perform 20 (max 30) minutes of steady state cardio (aerobics)

When you perform it this way, the HIIT followed by 5 minutes rest guarantees a large release of fatty acids into the blood stream, which means you’re ensured to be burning fat as energy when you do your aerobics! Efficient huh?

Time #2 You Should Do Aerobics: After Weight Lifting

Extreme weight lifting is completely like High Intensity Interval Training in the effects that it has on your body, the fuel it uses, and so on. So the only other time you should do aerobic cardio is after your weight lifting.

I advise 20-30 mins of low-medium concentration steady state cardio after weight lifting.

Why You Must Know This

CNS overload: If you’re lifting intensly, focusing on strength, doing low reps with heavy weights 3x per week, you’re working your central nervous system to increase your strength (primarily). Interval training on your “off” days may be overload for some people, steady state aerobics after weights is a good option if that’s you.

Stubborn fat: If you’re already around 10-12% body fat (males) or 15-17% body fat (females) and you need to get SUPER ripped, then you must put to use the HIIT followed with aerobics in this case. It will help chuck out those last stubborn pounds.

Everyone enjoys photographing sunrises and sunsets, but sometimes they can be tricky. Here are some tips to help you get an amazing shot.

1. You will generally want to plan ahead, and also take your time. While you can certainly take spontaneous photos, generally it’s a good idea to plan sunrise and sunset photo shoots. Figure out where you want to shoot- a mountain range, the beach, a local park. What’s great about sunrises and sunsets is that they are always changing- within minutes you can get a very different shot. Remember to take time to notice the clouds and changing light.

2. Stay out late, or wake up early. The sun does not necessarily have to be in a sunrise or sunset photo. You can either stay out after the sun has set, or get up early before the sun rises. Because the sun is so bright, the contrast with the morning or evening sky can be drastic, and it will be easier when the sun is not in the frame.

3. Experiment with bracketing. Bracketing allows you to take 3 of the same photos with different exposures. You will want to expose for one shot, and then the additional shots: one stop over exposed, and one stop underexposed. As an example, you can start at F8, and then the next two shots will be at F5.6 and F11.

4. Look for silhouettes. Silhouettes are created when you have a properly exposed background, and the objects in the foreground are dark. To achieve this, find an area of the sky to set a good exposure, and then compose your photograph.

5. Take a tripod with you. Just in case the lighting is low and you want a long exposure time, you will be prepared.

6. Play around with different settings on your camera. If you are on auto white balance, try the “cloud” or “shade” settings to get warmer tones.

Have fun with sunrises and sunsets. You can also use the wonderful lighting to photograph the landscape around you. Remember that you may want to use F16 or F22 to get more in focus.

Flash units and Strobe

EV (Exposure Value)

Exposure Value or EV is the rating used for determining the sensitivity of the Auto Focus (AF) system or exposure metering for a lens or film type. This number is just a combination of aperture and shutter speed. For example, f2 and 1/125 = EV 9 which is also equal to f4 and 1/30.

Dedicated and Non Dedicated Flash Units

Dedicated flash units are flash units designed by the Camera manufacturers for their own range of cameras. These flash units can communicate with the camera system allowing for more precision photography. For example Canon manufactured the “speedlite” range of flash units for their EOS cameras. Non dedicated flash units are those flash units usually manufactured by third party manufactures. They normally work the same way on all brands of camera with little or no communications with the camera unit itself.

Shoe Mount

The rectangular slide-in socket which is usually located on top of the mirror or prism housing is known as the shoe mount. This mount is usually used for affixing the external flash unit to the camera. Sometimes it is called a Hot Shoe Mount as it has an electrical trigger to initiate the flash unit once the external flash is fixed to the camera. The Canon EOS Cameras have 4 additional contact points in the shoe mount which helps to transmit flash data from the trigger.

Redeye Effect

A common occurrence with flash photography is the “Red Eye Effect”. This happens when the light from the flash unit is reflected back into the camera from it bounces of the red blood vessels of the eyes. The situation tends to occur in environment with low ambient lighting causing the pupils of the eyes to dilate bigger to allow for more light to enter the eyes.

Redeye Reduction

To overcome the problems of Redeye effects, you can increase the distance between the flash and the lens of the camera. Or you can also reflect the flash light off the walls instead of direct illumination on the subject. An alternative way is to get the subject to look at a bright light just before taking their picture. What this does is to cause the pupils of the eyes to dilate smaller resulting in less reflection from the retina.

Competition Poodles can be any solid color; however, the American Kennel Club (AKC) does not allow Poodles with multi or parti-colored fur to compete. All three sizes of Poodle can compete if they meet size requirements. The three sizes of Poodle, Miniature, Toy and Standard, have similar overall traits but differ in height and weight.

Poodle breeders understand Poodle breed standard characteristics. They follow the American Kennel Club’s standards when preparing Poodles for AKC competitions. For example, dogs under twelve months of age can be groomed in a puppy cut, which is an all-over trim with fur of the same length.

Before considering a purebred Poodle for a pet, potential buyers should research the breed and find out all the Poodle information and history they can. After viewing common Poodle health problems and the requirements of caring for a Poodle, buyers can decide if their home is a good match for a Poodle.

Buyers can then begin contacting local Poodle breeders and rescue centers.
